Get ready for an incoming bomb in Valerian. They could not possibly have miscast the two lead roles more horrendously if they had chosen some of the CGI characters from War, lol...

Really a shame too. We need more Sci-fi, but it needs to be well done, with an actual story, decent dialogue, and actors who can act.

I can't wait to see Valerian. It will be epic one way or another. Either Jupiter Rising or 5th Element.

I really wish I could say that Sci-Fi that just looks good is no longer viable, because as many failures as there are like Jupiter Rising, there are success like Jurassic World. I really wish the audience were jump on board requiring more than just flashy visuals from their Sci-Fi entertainment so the bar for Sci-Fi could be raised. As much as I do not like Marvel films, at least they were able to bring up the bar for acceptable super hero movies, and everyone is doing much better because of it.

Almost went to see War today but saw Baby driver instead. Never heard of Baby till after it was out. Had zero interest till I heard it was an Edgar Wright joint.

Glad I did BD might be my favorite movie of the last few years.

The lead actor of Valerian was great in A Cure for Wellness and the girl wasn't bad as the Enchantress until the ending scenes where she just kinda stands there in a CGI shit-storm.

Cautiously optimistic.
