I had 3 rum and cokes this year, ive had like 4 drinks in the past year and half, wasn't into it. Just kinda did nothing, then went to work. Was it quiet out for anybody else, very little fanfair here, and there usually is.
The wife and I did nothing, having a newborn makes you tend to buckle down and not bother with holiday shit.

We all went so see Star Wars on New Years Eve. My Dad and his Wife and my whole family and my Sister. That was great. And two weeks earlier, my Mom was up in Flagstaff for the day and we got to hang out with her and have lunch. It was kind of a short visit, so I will have to make a real trip out to Florida to see her at some point this year.

I worked on New Years Eve, I usually do. It banks the holiday time and turns it into vacation time. I planned to work Thanksgiving too, but I got sick. I mean really really sick. I had some problems after that from the illness. Iím so glad that I got over everything, though I do enjoy my new eye patch. Arr!

(My eye is fine now, but for a week or so I couldnít see out of one eye.)

Glad you're ok. We're planning on visiting my mom as well, but not til spring. Not traveling in this weather up here in Ontario. Want her to at least meet the kid before she passes which won't be long likely unfortunately.

Yea, I'm fine, but I did get to see the hospital staff really hop to it with alarms going off and some big announcement about a "Stroke Alert". It kinda makes you feel good to know if you had a serious issue that they really spare no expense.

Too bad about your Mom, that's terrible. My Mom is getting up there, but she seemed pretty good during our visit.

I was wondering what caused your eye to act up

We are all getting old. Time to drink lots of water, keep the CARBS SALT and SUGAR down to a minimum and start taking care of our bodies and minds. There are connections with carbs and Alzheimers as well. Its all that inflammation over time that takes a toll.

My dad is 62, he drinks vodka and lots of water all day, no stress, eats well and keeps busy. His complexion is better than mine most days.
