Weekend Headbanger - What are you listening to?

I was reading an article this morning on how holiday music is bad for your mental health. It's not a problem for me as my metal health is always in check

It's the weekend. What are you listening to?

That article is true for any repetitive thing. Even music. Take your favorite song. Play it on a non-stop loop for 2 months. It's going to drive you insane. I had a similar experience with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. In my early 20s there was a circumstance that ended up with me having a huge amount of PB & J. Being relatively poor, I didn't throw it out, but ate it. Took me about 6 months, then took about another 6 years before I could even look at one again.

It helps to mix it up too. Don't just listen to the same few over and over.

I went and saw Opeth play last night. It was a decent gig, but not their best. I guess that means I wont be listening to Opeth today! Carcassias released their new album a short while ago, so will be giving that a spin.

CHVRCHES...... They are amazing! And they did the official theme songs for Death Stranding and Mirror's Edge Catalyst! My favorite songs by them are Clearest Blue and Bury It.

Also started listening to the Def Leppard chronological discography because I bought tickets to the Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison, Joan Jett supertour next year.

Speaking of Death Stranding... it's on sale now at Best Buy and Walmart for $39 so I snagged it! After reward certs and cash back, it's going to cost me under $20. And physical means if I hate it I can sell for profit!

Forgot to mention, last month I was in the FRONT ROW for a King Diamond concert. I was crushed to death, had people flying over my head, had water spat on me.... wow... I mean it was on my bucket list to be front row at a metal concert at least once, but never again. Amazingly, I got to the front row for only $99. Some people pay $1000 to have this happen to them with other bands. I don't get it.

I've been finding a bunch of new cool stuff:

This chick is nuts; if you look her up, for years she has made "poppy" stuff, but now she's taking a turn towards Marilyn Manson, NIN, and Rob Zombie, according to her, and it's sounding futuristic and cool.

These dudes are awesome, they make 80's Depeche Mode, today.

I think this is the DOOM main theme?

This is Mono, British "Trip-Hop."
