The animated family film Coco has topped the box office for a third time on a quiet, pre Star Wars: The Last Jedi weekend in theaters.

Coco is a fun film, but it's not "three weeks at the top of the box office" fun or good. For whatever reason there just have been far too many weekends these past few months with little if anything newly released worth a trip to the theater. I still think MoviePass is a good idea, as I have saved multiples of what it cost me, but the value diminishes if films suck and my wife and I don't even go...

Got a few decent weeks coming up though. Star Wars and Jumanji should both be entertaining, whether good or bad (who knows). Maybe Ferdinand is worth a view. Not much else through to the end of the year, sadly.
