Screw Han Solo...that's a long ways away. I just got back from watching Jackie Chan in The Foreigner and I have to say, my wife and I absolutely loved that flick.

I also love MoviePass. In two days we've bought $34.50 in movie tickets for our two $20/month memberships. I'm predicting by the end of the month we will have seen several hundred dollars worth of films for...$20 total, lol.

Not a long term business plan, but they're loss-leading to become the Netflix of theaters, and I think they have a shot...if they can afford to lose a bunch of millions in the next year or two. A suitcase or so of it to me and my wife.

I was watching an interview with John Carpenter on YouTube last night and he talked about working with Kurt Russell filming the movie "Elvis". They had two actors lined up to play Elvis. One was Kurt and the other was an actor who looked just like Elvis but he couldn't act. The studio was really wanting to go with the guy who looked like Elvis and pleaded with John to see if he could make it work. Whereas Kurt had Elvis down completely but didn't resemble him as much. They went with Kurt in the end. Here is the interview if anyone is interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKMogFi5mvs

I blame Lucas more than any of the actors for the wooden performances we got in the prequels. If actors like Jackson and Portman seem wooden in a movie...the problem is likely behind the camera, not in front of it.
