Ive been playing it sandbox style without caring about the story (I'll sit down and do a proper playthrough once I got the gameplay nailed) and the gameplay is spectacular, the graphics are the best Ive seen (Crysis vs MGSV is debatable) and the port is masterfully done. People are running the game on old'ish hardware and still getting good results. The Fox engine is all that it is cracked up to be. Just fantastic stuff, I can't wait to see it run Silent Hills. And the price for MGSV is so cheap you should give it a try just to see the gfx.
Did NOT expect such a superior port. I'll be getting the PC version instead of the PS4 version now of Phantom Pain.

Oh I forgot to add, playing MGSV with a mouse is dangerous; you'll never want to go back to controllers.

It feels even better than the PS4 version when using mouse and keyboard. They're totally right by saying this is the definitive version, no bullshit.

I think I've been too spoiled by the previous Steam sales. 33-50% just ain't cuttin it anymore. The only games with good discounts are the same games that have been throwin those discounts for years now.
Rome 2 at 75% off looks tempting. Any word on it? I liked Napoleon and Shogun 2 well enough.

Steam is so popular they no longer feel the need to bribe people into downloading Steam.
Same reason PS4's free games have cut back now that they're on top.

I think the PS4 being a new console has more to do with it than them not being on top anymore. Some people were seemingly expecting them to give out 3 free PS4 titles a month when there were only like 12 PS4 games in release at all.
I think, maybe, we'll see them step the program back up in 2015 when games are a year old.
