Yeah, this is pretty much how I feel about it, as well.

It doesn't feel like as big of an "event" because they've stopped forcing people to tune in every single day - and multiple times throughout the day - in order to catch the latest and greatest flash sale.

Now, I can jump on any of these deals as soon or late as I want...and I'm not missing a damn thing. I almost prefer the less frenetic, more relaxed pace of the past few sales.

Added Resi remake, dangerous golf and Shadowrun: HK because I never played Shadowrun.

Just waiting for payday on Wednesday to scoop up Dying Light then that's probably me done.

True, but I only use one simple mechanism to sort titles on Steam for shopping purposes: the wishlist.

If I want it, it goes on the list, and that's a selective list culled from word of mouth and what I read and hear about games. If not, the price is immaterial at that point, because I'm not interested; it's a short list, because I don't have time to 'catch 'em all.' So when a sale hits, I check my wishlist in my browser, look at the historically low price (using a nice add on), compare with the current price, and pull the trigger or not.

More often not nowadays. I buy a few titles a year nowadays. Too busy.

I got one of each last time they were on sale, and at this price they're worth it for sure

ok so this game looks like a ton of fun, and it has couch coop. Can't wait for my daughter to get back from camp so we can play this.

I really like it. As with anything it'll take practice to be any good with it, but with only a few hours on it I can play D3 with it, no other controller can do that on the PC.

will it replace my DS4? not likely, but I plan on using it with my phone for remote play (Nvidia Moonlight) and it does a pretty decent job of navigating windows, for being a controller.

I prefer an Xbox 360 controller for third person action games and racing games. But it's useful for games where you need a mouse. With a little practice you can play some strategy games with it.

Steam Link is handy if you want to play your Steam games on any TV in the house. I have been using it to play racing games and third person action games while kicked back in my recliner, which comes in handy when my back is bothering me.

I will also note that the steam link works better and more consistently than my HTPC or RPi2 running steam in home streaming, wired or wireless. No idea why, but it works flawlessly. I'm impressed with it and I'm impressed with it's ability to use just about anything as a controller with no fuss.
