It's a Rust clone. The setting is exactly 20 years after the bombs fell.

Well, if we're all their to relive the experience of trying to rebuild, DON'T WE ALL FAIL because the world in Fallout is left in squalor?

Well, if this allows me to play Fallout (with traditional Bethesda Fallout game play) in a CO-OP experience I am down. Actually Battle Royale Fallout could be fun, especially if Death Claws are involved. If if is MMO style gameplay, then I most likely will not play it.

Online. Rust. Clone.

None of those three words were words I was looking for in a Fallout sequel.

This looks like it might be the first Fallout game I skip.

The ongoing rumor is they are saving E3 to announce another spinoff along the lines of New Vegas, likely developed by Arkane Studios with Chris Avellone returning as lead writer.

Fallout 76 is by Bethesda Game Studios Austin, formerly BattleCry Studios. They were developing the now canceled BattleCry online hero shooter thing before it was canceled and they were bought out by Zenimax.

Bethesda Games Studios in Maryland (Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Elder Scrolls) is supposedly doing another thing that may be announced at E3.

Maybe it's online, maybe it's not.

But it's CERTAINLY using FO:4 assets (which isn't a bad thing save the shit weapons design) and it appears MIGHTILY to be a more flushed-out version of settlement building.

Which, online or not, can suck fat floppy dick.

I heard this will have the cut content that was suppose to be in Fallout 4, so good thing I held off from buying 4.

The older I get, the less time I have for online-only games. I'm interested in hearing more about this one, but if it's just a Fallout themed version of ARK, I'll pass.

I have my doubts about this. I think the first person to leak this rumor was Jason Schreier of kotaku infamy. Bethesda hates Kotaku and Jason has a chip on his shoulder about it. How much of any of this is true, we will know soon enough.

Some sites are already listing online features of this game... sigh*

Fallout 4 story/quest wise was trash. Combat and weapons were fun. After awhile the combat wasn't enough to keep me playing till the end. Never finished it.

Online fallout likely has the same issues for me. I don't completely hate the idea of a different type of Fallout game but multi player or rust clone are not genres I am very interested in.

I had to mod the game on order to keep building and having fun, so much so that it now crashes after about 10 minutes of gameplay, not really interested in the fallout series anymore.

I played F4 for nearly 100 hours, I think, but yeah. I still didn’t beat it. The quests really were sub-par and sub-standard for Bethesda.

I can’t help but feel like they were trying to be e perimentsl and try to have other gameplay hooks than just “quests”. They succeeed in that area... but I still need quests.

Bethesda, I DO NOT WANT to manage settlements in a goddamn Fallout game. If I did, I'd play Sim City.
