My MOST DISAPPOINTING Game Console - This thing SUCKS!!

Usually I can find something positive to say about most gaming consoles and systems, even when they are really old and quirky... But then there are some...that are just BAD and POORLY designed. Here is my most disappointing game console in my collection. *sigh*

What is your most disappointing gaming system? And did you keep it, or trade it away for something better?

I got one of those damn consoles when it first came out. It sucked even in its own time.

Not clicking because of the clickbait. :/

At least they gave us the 2600. They will always have the 2600.

My most disappointing console was the 360. Some great games, but that thing was a jet-engine sounding lava heater and three of them melted into mini-Fukushimas on me.

I hated that thing. With a passion. It cost MS a big-spending customer and drove me back to the warm embrace of PC gaming.

Everything you said is absolutely my experience as well... Three of them got the red ring of death...

The hardware was shit...yet it was loaded with great games!!

The 32X is my most disappointing console purchase. I maybe got 1 or 2 extra games from it.

That was the beginning of the end for SEGA.

It was a bummer. As a person that played the hell out of the 2600 as a kid I wanted Atari redemption. Instead we got the 5200, Jaguar and their latest venture, the Atari speaker hat.

I never owned any of the "failed" consoles (unless you count the Dreamcast I guess) but I will say that, outside of Mario 64 and the AKI wrestling games, I was very disappointed in the N64. I've always been a Nintendo fan but this system just really rubbed me the wrong way.

I had to look that up. OMG, that is so cringe. Just bury the dam name and be done with it, it gets ruined more and more day by day.

The DC wasn't so much of a fail as it just had SONY to compete with coming off the PS1. It was a hell of a system and about 3 years ahead of its time.

The N64, i agree. Other than Mario 64, Mario Kart and OOT. Its just brutal and has aged terribly. Even though i look back at it fondly.

The Dreamcast was Sega's last-ditch effort to remain relevant by trying to beat Sony to the market with it's own next-gen console. The PS2 was released a year later...so, I'd say it was about a year ahead of it's time, overall.

The only addition that revealed true foresight from Sega was the modem and the online connectivity. Now, that was a good three years ahead of it's time.

I liked the N64 and had a decent little collection of good games. It had a pretty strong library, overall. My biggest issue with it was the cost of games; PSX games were easily half the price, with only the multi-disc games reaching anywhere near what some of the N64 games cost.

I liked the N64, but I loved the Playstation.

I'd have to agree on the N64. It did have some great games ("Ocarina of Time"!!!), but the weak textures brought a tear to my eye, even 20 years ago.

As for the video:
1. Yes, the title is indeed clickbait. If it hadn't been an "official" MJ video (and only 7 minutes long), I wouldn't have watched it.
2. I would have guessed the console in question was the Ouya.
3. Interestingly enough, almost everything said in the conclusion fits the Ouya description: broken controllers (at first), cheap games that you could get elsewhere (and better), very few of them to boot, and no nostalgia to save the machine.

Yup, same. Even back then i was a Nintendo shill but could not ignore Gran Turismo, FF7 and SOTN. Those games were serious business. That's when video games grew up.

There were just so many titles; the library felt absolutely cavernous, especially as a kid...and the number of great titles is still almost daunting, even when looking back.

Stuff like Soul Reaver blew my mind...and we never really got anything quite like that with the N64.

Plus, there were demo discs. I had a subscription to the Official Playstation Magazine specifically for the demo discs.

A few people say they hate thumbnails like that... yet the video gets over 120,000 views in a day and overwhelming positive Likes and Shares. I respect your opinion, but you are definitely in the minority.

Just because people like something doesn't make it good... especially if that something's free. Everyone here knows you and your videos, so I didn't have a problem watching this one, but in complete seriousness: Its title made me hesitate, because I trained myself to not fall for these headlines.

Then again, it's YouTube. There are 10 simple reasons why this kind of teasing works. Number 8 will shock you!

Yup, I'm sure buzzfeed and their ilk were very very happy with the results of clickbait.
