Came in here thinking it was a sequel to the genie movie with Shaq.

I like Levi a lot, but this movie looked a lot better from the first trailer.
I mean pairing "Big" with super heroes seems pretty cool but after this trailer I am left wondering if I should bother seeing this one on the big screen after all.

I'm pretty sure that is a teaser trailer, and the full 2nd trailer comes out Tuesday from what I've read.
I think the movie looks fun and funny. I like the idea of a Superman level guy with a kid brain inside, and Zachary Levi was a great choice. This looks to actually be purposely funny, not just full of annoying one-liners to keep a film light-hearted like every Marvel film. Guess we'll see how it goes. Has the director of Lights Out and Annabelle Creation, which are decent horror films, but I don't know how that will translate to this. The last horror film directors to make a comic film were the guy who made Dr Strange, and of course James Wan with Aquaman, and those worked out okay.

Of course it's going to be funny as... it's a kid turned into a super hero. Sure... there is a dark side that eventually appears, within the comics, as real life isn't all fluffy and brill. Maybe a second film would explore that but I doubt it.
