Weekend Gamer: What are you playing?

Most colleges are now out (congratulations grads!) and other schools wrapping up - which means lots more gaming time for some. While us others are still waiting for the weekends. What are you playing?

Battletech. Got some heavy mechs now. The patch has helped the difficulty. Starting to burnout on it a bit. Need a catapult or two. Story missions are tough and I have no indirect fire mechs yet.

Splatoon 2, Final Fantasy 6, Shantae and the Pirates Curse, Assassin's Creed Origins, and probably Ikaruga.

Just finished the main campaign in Witcher 3. Easily among my top 5 RPGs of all time and probably the best story unless I can remember a better one. For me it's up there with Fallout 1 and Planescape Torment. So many memorable characters and you care about the outcome. Emotions never really felt ham handed or phony like the majority of games with a "deep" story. It's the best adaptation from a novel series anyone can hope for. Doing the Blood and Wine DLC now and it's bittersweet knowing this is likely Geralt's final adventure until the Netflix series.

Also read the books before and during a playthrough. A major ally character missing from the previous games shows up at the beginning of Blood and Wine and it's good to know the backstory.

I played a whole lot of PlayStation 2. I never owned the system, so I was checking out some of its exclusives.

Some games have held up pretty well, but I'm also playing on an emulator, and filters clean the graphics up nicely.
