Weekend Headbanger - What are you listening to?

I've been listening to the classic Guns N Roses album Appetite For Destruction.

What are you listening to?

I'm not sure if this is true or not but I saw this post on reddit:

"You know the story of Guns N' Roses hit song Sweet Child of Mine?

Axel Rose writes two verses, and gets stuck on the third. He hears Slash downstairs doing scales on his guitar (Da na na na NA na) thinks it's brilliant.

They put 'em together, it sounds great...But there is still no third verse.

Now, another group would have sat down and figured out a third verse, but GNR wasn't that kind of group. They couldn't figure out where to go from the end of the second verse, so they just sang "WHERE DO WE GO NOW?!" fourteen times in a row, and called it a day.

True story."

I remember when Appetite for Destruction came out. Fresh and rocking for a while, influenced the whole industry. But got waaaay overplayed, got stale after the double cd album, and now I just can't listen to most of their stuff any more. But I guess that is typical of meteoric rise and burnout bands.

This was indeed an album that I over played when it came out, but still remains one of my favorites. The whole album gets spun a few times a year now.

Cool story, I haven't seen that one before.

Def Leppard finally got added to streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify, so I'm rocking out to their B-Sides and lesser known early tracks.

It's exactly the same way for me. GnR has not aged well for me at all. Same with other bands I used to listen to as a teenager like Green Day and Nirvana. Can't stomach any of it anymore.
