Assassin's Creed Syndicate Has Microtransactions #AssassinsCreed #Syndicate

GameSpot has the not so shocking story.

Quote:
Like other Assassin's Creed games and many AAA titles today, Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed Syndicate will offer microtransactions, the publisher confirmed on Wednesday.

Ubisoft Quebec development director Francois Pelland stresses that the microtransactions are entirely optional and are aimed at people who want to speed up their play. In addition, everything in Syndicate can be acquired through normal gameplay.

"Assassin's Creed Syndicate will include paid options to save time and accelerate progress," Pelland told IGN. "The model for Assassin's Creed Syndicate is quite similar to Black Flag, allowing players who do not have time to fully explore our huge game world to still be able to eventually acquire the game’s most powerful gear as well as other items. Rest assured, all of AC Syndicate's content is available without paying anything additional and the game has been balanced such that microtransactions are 100% optional."
Will faces cost extra?

F2P-lookalike on your console (but with an entry fee, lol!) courtesy of console gamers paying for it! Yeeha! Ride the wave of the future!

"is quite similar to Black Flag"

Does this mean there is a navel component? I'm shocked they haven't released a follow up to Black Flag considering that has been the best reviewed aspect of any of their games.

Unity had microtransacations as well, so it is not surprising at all that Syndicate will as well.

I think they're referring to the microtransactions since there were paid accelerators in AC4 as well

They had them in Unity as well. I really think p2w is a non-issue in single player games.

AC4 had multiplayer, though I don't know if the p2win affected that part of it.

I agree on a strictly logical level... if you wanna pay to not play the game, so be it. On a personal level I think you're fucking idiot for paying to not play the game and I'm offended by your stupidity.

in the end it doesn't matter so long as it's single player only.

I put Unity on hiatus for about 7 months. Started playing it again, and now I'm REALLY into it, enjoying it tremendously and can't wait till Syndicate.

Guess I just needed a break from non-stop AC gaming.
