My wife and daughter went to go see it and they said Amber Heard sucked, and the movie sucked generally.

I'm surprised it's doing this week.

The plot was weak but he CGI was epic... A big step up since Avatar... I am sure in IMAX would be mind blowing

I can wait to see the 2019 CGI fest...

I thought it was a lot of fun. I don't really know who Amber Heard is but she looked pretty darn good in IMAX.

I didn't think that Amber was the strongest actress, especially to play Mera (I've read a LOT of Aquaman comics), but she wasn't bad and I still felt the love angle.

Loved the film.

P.s. Your wife secretly loved it due to Jason. She hasn't the heart to tell you!

I watched Justice League soon after seeing Aquaman. It's really remarkable how dim and grim the colors are in that film after a movie like Aquaman. Check out Amber Heard's character in JL compared to Aq; the difference is quite remarkable. Dark hair, muted appearance...

Aquaman was a visual feast with tons of action. It was fun and it just popped off the screen. Immensely forgettable fun. Like my last meal out, I enjoyed it immensely and then crapped it out. It was delicious while it lasted.

Hey, you just summed up all movies coming out of the movie industry. Sugar and plastic.

We saw Escape Room. It was really entertaining trying to figure out the puzzles for each room and what the overarching story would be. The different individual traps were cool and most of the characters were charismatic enough to be interesting. The ending was good until they left sequel bait; but that didn't ruin it, just left it open-ended instead of a unique, tight film. The movie is reminiscent of Saw combined with Final Destination, but (unfortunately) PG-13.
