World War Z Adding Tokyo Map

Saber Interactive's World War Z Reveals New Tokyo Map With 'Stories in Tokyo' Gameplay Trailer

Saber Interactive has unveiled the next map that will be playable in World War Z, the highly anticipated co-op shooter inspired by Paramount Pictures’ blockbuster film. The new ‘Stories In Tokyo’ gameplay trailer travels to Japan, where hordes of zombies will ambush survivors through narrow streets and dense urban jungles, battling players right up to the edge of the sea. The Tokyo episode will feature two missions available at launch, with a bonus mission arriving for free shortly after release.

“We’ve had such a positive response to the content that we decided to expand the core game and make four episodes spanning eleven levels available at launch,” said Matthew Karch, CEO of Saber Interactive.

Powered by Saber’s dynamic Swarm Engine, World War Z unleashes hundreds of fast-moving, bloodthirsty zombies – able to move as one collective horde as well as break off as individuals units – at a time on players. Choose from six distinct classes and an arsenal of deadly weapons, explosives, turrets and traps. Outlive the dead through intense four-player co-op campaign missions around the world, and battle both zombies and real human opponents in competitive, team-based Players vs. Players vs. Zombies (PvPvZ) multiplayer.

World War Z is expected to launch on April 16, 2019, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. World War Z is available to pre-order at participating retail stores on all platforms. For full pre-order details, visit wwzgame.com/buy. All World War Z retail version, come with the Lobo Weapon Pack, featuring three golden weapon skins and the dual-bladed Lobo spade, at no extra charge.

Is it really though? It looks fun enough but is it highly anticipated? I might grab it on a Steam sale but I'd be interested in how many Day 1 sales and pre-orders this will really drive.

I feel like zombies are finally petering out.

Also, this is almost literally Left For Dead 2.5. The developers said theirs was different because there were more zombies attacking.

I'm not anticipating this one at all I'm afraid.

Maybe not you, but for me Zombies were back, then they went out, now they're back again. Ha, can't get rid of my love for poking bullet holes in some zombies man.

I see its only $39.99 on the PS Store. I'm hyped for this one. I think there's 5 game modes available at launch both PVE and PVP.
