Bought the wife and kids tickets so I could stay home and watch the Packers stink it up. They said Frozen 2 was really really good.

I am not surprised at Frozen's numbers. I'm surprised enough people went to see Charlie's Angels and waste $3m they could have spent on A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

I feel bad that Midway is doing so poorly since the story is so amazing (only true life could be so bizarre!). I would hazard a guess this is a $300m+ film but the first was a classic and from what I saw in the trailers this version has so much CGI even the actors look plastic.

Saw frozen with my kid, the environments look incredible, in particular the water effects are a clear step beyond anything done before. Amazing work.

I was going to wait a month or so, but our realtor bought us tickets to Frozen 2, so I took the kid. As Juan said, some of the environment work was pretty stunning. Damn near photorealism at times. The movie itself was fairly engaging too, on par with the first one I'd say. So it was a win.

Is it wrong I enjoyed Frozen II more than my kids?

It was pretty good.

I saw Ford v Ferrari last night with my brothers. All three of us enjoyed it very much which does not happen often.

Haven't been the theater in a few weeks now, since Doctor Sleep. My wife and I are not happy.

Ford vs Ferrari looks fine, but it's not a film I'll see with the wife. Still nothing out this weekend for us either. I will never watch Knives Out. Even if it's on tv or sitting in front of me on a streaming service I already pay for. I really don't like the writer/director, and a lot of the reviews made it sound pretentious as fuck. And a couple youtube reviewers I watch also said it was basically fine, but not that impressive.

Anyways when are good movies coming back? The only thing I know of in December is Star Wars, and who knows if that'll even be mediocre, let alone good.
I used to indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.
