Report: Steam Halloween, Black Friday, and Winter Sale Dates Leaked As Usual

VG247 has the story.

Quote:
Halloween, Black Friday and Winter sale dates for Steam have surfaced. The information was posted on reddit before the post was removed due to lack of a source.

After the leak, Eurogamer independently corroborated the dates.

We’re still adding the rumor tag, because Valve has yet to announce the dates for any of the sales.

Unless things change, below are the dates when you can expect the Steam sales for the remainder of the year to go live.
  • Steam Halloween Sale: October 26 – November 1
  • Steam Black Friday Sale: November 22 – November 28
  • Steam Winter Sale: December 24 – January 4, 2018

There used to be a time when I got excited over these announcements. These days, not so much. With the removal of the daily/hourly specials, the deals haven't been as good.

Yeah, it's been a couple of years since I was excited for a Steam sale. I know, they keep growing and breaking records. They just don't seem as interested in earning a purchase from me. Their deals are very often ordinary now.

I'm never excited about these sales anymore. I rarely buy from Steam, period. If it's available, I purchase through GOG; occasionally grab a Humble Bundle.

Didto between having a huge back log, having less time to game ,lack of hugh discounts (rarely see games over 60% off) green man, humble bundles ect... . Sometimes I buy one or two games. UsALLY just trying to encourage more of a thing. Like buying a cheap indie mech game because I want to see more mech games. Or something like that.
