Watched Ready Player One this weekend and was thoroughly underwhelmed. Technically the movie looked good and the nostalgia never felt insulting. My problem was how by-the-numbers it felt. And safe. It's like they used the same template every other movie uses these days and filled in the blanks left in for setting, names, and so on leaving very little room for originality. Oddly enough I was reminded of the Tron sequel.

Still don't get why Starlord is in Jurassic Park. Guess I'll find out on Netflix one day.

Half way through Ready Player One and it's been fun. Not amazing fun but fun so far.

Well at least it's better than the book in that regard.

I couldn't even get myself past chapter 1 of the book. Ended up donating it to a library.
