It’s considered one of his classic stories but I wasn’t a massive fan. Not sure how well the creepiness will translate to the screen either. But you never know.

Agreed. I am a huge H.P. Lovecraft fan, he was unlike anyone in his time and is a weird dude. Mix that description with Nick Cage, and with this trailer which looks crazy, and I am looking forward to it. I kind of assume I'll be let down, but this trailer looks cool as hell. I'd go to the theater for this one.

As long as they keep faithful to the original story it could be good.
Not H.P.'s best but definitely not his worst either. Probably will be about on par with Dagon.

We just watched Face/Off the other night, it was awesome. Also John Travolta does a really good Nic Cage.

Just saw an old 60s movie Die Monster Die with Boris Karloff that's based on this story. Didn't know it was Lovecraft based until the credits started. Not too bad.
