Trailer looks like a lot of fun, but that music was terrible.

Jaeger vs Jaeger? I betcha one of the kaiju is a virus (or something along that line) and "infects" one of them, much like one of the Angels in NGE.

The movie looks so much brighter than the first one, which is a good thing. No more fights at night during rain storms!

Looks like a commercial for a toy line or something.

The music ruined an otherwise OK trailer.

That was a great trailer, but the music was indeed terrible. Like audible herpes. I feel ill now.

Holy crap that looked horrible to me. It's like they took the detail and purity of the first and put power rangers inside of transformers. Dumb. But hey, if the average person hasn't seen a CGI monster look directly into the camera, open it's jaws and roar a drool spraying shaky face dragon honk in the last two weeks then something must be wrong.

My guess:

In the wake of closing the gate either countries start warring with each other using Jaeger's. Or the government is using Jager's to control the populace and a rebel group fight's them with old jaegers. During the height of the battle/rebellion Kaiju's return. Humanity comes together to fight off a giant Voltron like Kaiju.

Interesting but the monster and robot design pales compared to what has come out of Japan over the last 50 years.

I think this looks like loads of fun; it's doing precisely what it's intending to do.

It's more giant robots punching giant monsters while stuff breaks around them. It ain't Shakespeare or Oscar-bait.

I see a lot of love for the first one, but I just couldn't get into it. It wasn't a awful movie, but for whatever reason it just didn't do for me what it has for other.

I get that it's a movie, but as I age I have a hard time disbelieving that other more conventional weapons would do the job better, and cheaper.

That said; I'll probably give this one a watch too; if for nothing else the special effects.

I feel like compared to most trailers Ive seen, that was pretty long with alot of special effects. I think this will be exceptionally good!

so..... where are the key characters from the last movie...

Who shit rap all over this trailer?

I loved the first movie, still one of my favorites, perfect balance of scifi, cheesiness and character to keep me locked in.

I feel sad... I'll watch this out of obligation....after I download it.
