Report: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB 3DMark Performance Results Leaked #Nvidia

WCCFtech has the story.

Quote:
The GeForce GTX 1060 performance results have been leaked by XFastest and show some really interesting figures. In 3DMark Firestrike Ultra, the GeForce GTX 1060 scores 3014 points while the Radeon RX 480 was scoring around 2600-2800 points. The GeForce GTX 1060 also scores 11225 points in Firestrike Performance while the Radeon RX 480 was scoring 10500 – 10600 points in several 3DMark entries on reference clocks. It should be pointed that the following benchmarks were tested without official drivers as NVIDIA has yet to ship GTX 1060 drivers to reviewers.
Yeah: Faster then the RX480 …

The SLI thing is in the air: I see waffling between "never" and "not on the mere 3GB model."

The Nvidia x60 card versions (460, 660, 960, etc.) has always been a great price to performance sweet spot, at least for me on various machines. I'm gonna hope this one does also. I'll think of grabbing one a while after it's release when the price stabalizes around the $250 level. I just don't see the benefit of spending $600 on x80 cards that early enthusiasts grab, but thank God they do so they can make cheaper ones later for the rest of us..

I thought you guys were joking about the existence of a 1060 version.

I knew it. Just need a price now and unless it's markedly more expensive than a 480 I imagine AMD are shitting themselves.

Why would it be a joke?

Couldn't agree more. My last three cards have been x60 Nvidia. Always a great price for what you get. I'm still running a GTX 460 as I haven't PC gamed much in the past few years, but I think I see a 1060 in my near future.

It's as good as a 980 and uses about two thirds of the power.

GB did the Battlefield 1 alpha on a 970 and it looked alright so that's good to know.

Yeah: We know the '70 is better then the '60; But the '60 is supposed to be where the price-point is for most people …

$250 is my top limit for a video card budget. You all can game at crazy resolutions with 100+ frame rates with everything on Ultra; I'd rather spend that excess money on games.
