Finally picked up The Witcher 3 with the latest Steam sale, and looking forward to trying it out. Also planning to finally try out Final Fantasy XIV. And, as always, I'll blow off a little steam in Rocket League.

Well for the last two days I've been playing the heck out of Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya. This game was released on the Sega Game Gear. I'm playing it on my 3DS. This one is well worth the $3.99 price point.

Elite Dangerous and finishing up Fallout 1.5: Resurrection. A surprisingly well done fan-made standalone game that acts as a bridge between Fallout 1 and 2. They did a much better job recapturing the atmosphere of Fallout 1 than any of the true sequels. It's a grey world and you never feel like there's a right or wrong decision. Highly recommended and easy to install.

I have been playing FFXV and F1 2017. I'm ready to start on something new this weekend, maybe Yakuza Kiwami.

Fortnite.... lots n lots of Fortnite. This damn game has me by the balls at the moment. Its a mix of minecraft (for the building), WoW (for the grindyness of it) and tons of Turret Defense!

A bit of monk leveling on FFXIV. I had a lot of things to take care of IRL so not much gaming time this weekend.

But I caught this, ever wondered why the new game journalists praise the no-gameplay games like walking simulators? well, it's because they are terrible at even the most basic games. The Polygon Doom video now has a contender:

To be fair, Cuphead is purported to be pretty friggin' hard. Still, it does seem like folks are gravitating to walking simulators like Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

He couldn't follow instructions and couldn't get past the first 10 seconds of the first level. He sucked beyond acceptable levels. It's as if my grandma was playing. This guy has 18 years of gaming journalism experience. He should at least have a simple grasp of the controls.

Next they will say this is the dark souls of platformers.
