That looks pretty bad ass. I'm down for some sci-fi shit.

I think a certain srgment of the population will be embarrassed by this, or the implications for how it was put forward. I totally buy Wesley's Snipe's Amen-RA production of Blade, but not this BP.

I know that the following will probably sound a tad... racist... but that tried VERY hard to be ultra-uber-mega-black. Why couldn't it just have been identical to the style of an Iran Man trailer or GOTG?

P.s. Loved Luke Cage, the series.

Then again... thinking a bit more... Why should I 'define' anything. Not a bad trailer with the usual man flipping in the air stuff.

Well, it looks about as good as any other MCU movie. Thanks to the introduction the character had in Civil War, we can get straight into the meat of the story. This was one of the downsides to Doctor Strange; after so many movies that were able to dive right into the story, it felt like a step backwards to dive into another origin story.

Looks like black Thor with pandering black American music for some odd reason when this takes place entirely in a fictional African country.

Typical MCU movie formula. Hero vs Anti-version of himself. Hulk vs Monster Hulk. Iron Man vs Monster Iron Man (x2). Capt America vs Red Skull (an anti-Cap). Etc. Etc. Stick to the tried and true I guess?

That said, looks fun.

That was not what I was expecting. Much more sci-fi than I would have imagined.

I'll rent it.

Wakanda looks like it was not set in Africa.

Maybe a fantasy island like Themyscira.

Wakanda has never really looked like a normal city or country; that is, after all, the entire point of Wakanda.

Also, they all speak English, but they all speak very bad English, including the urbane (is that the word?) king.

This is a pet peeve of mine in many films and some games: I get it, we want to understand a story that takes place in China or Africa (or just in France, I guess), so we need a localized version of it. However, the people in these movies supposedly talk in their native tongue. They wouldn't have heavy accents or use wrong grammar, like a foreigner. Sure, some might speak a dialect that can be depicted in translation by using another dialect (like, Scottish/Irish dwarves in high fantasy), but the royal family? Hardly.

Other than that, surprisingly great trailer. I felt Black Panther was rather weakly represented in Civil War, so this is a big improvement. Unfortunately, I have to agree with PacerDawn: I'm growing tired of the MCU formula where heroes create their own nemeses. It kinda removes the "heroism" of their deeds, because more often than not, it's their own bloody fault and responsibility.
