Oh my, he DOES look extremely old. The story sounds okay, though.

His dog is named "Number One". LOL

I do have to laugh, you can see that CBS knows that Discovery is a flop because they are bringing back Picard and Anson Mount is getting his own series.

And are they implying that the young girl is some time-traveling version of the Borg queen? Seems like a good plot.

I'm in! I haven't looked forward to a new ST series this much since ST:TNG.
The Borg, Data, Picard and Seven? Yup, I'm there.

That's the only character I can think of that would constitute universal death.

Discovery series is fantastic but this truly brings back the original Star Trek feeling.
Picard, Data, 7/9

Trailer looks good. The behind the scenes stuff I’m hearing implies the show is a mess.

I donít care for discovery. It has a great cast, but it feels too much like episodes of The Walking Dead. Something happens, people arenít really in danger, then some minor character we donít care about dies. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I liked Anson Mount, but I thought he was totally handicapped by that idiotic Michael Barnum chararacter and the whole red angel plot. I honestly didnít even finish watching season 2 and just deleted it off the hard drive. It was that bad.

They made me geek out a little TNG what I grew up on. Discovery was a disappointment to me no offense to those who enjoy it. Yea Patrick Stewart looking older but it's the future pretty sure 70 year olds are a lot healthier then they are now because science.

This must be about the origin of the Borg. It would make sense. Love that some other cast members have been included. One thing missing from the trailer... which ship, if any, will he have? It cannot be a crappy freighter.

Discovery was... okay. I enjoyed it for what it was. It did lack depth and Burnam's near CONSTANT look of shock/annoyance/revulsion/angst really got annoying after awhile.

Anson Mount rocked. Best character from season 2. (I cannot seem to clarify if he's having his own show?)

This has me excited about the series. Which is surprising since I pretty much expected it to be a write off.

I could get behind that, for sure. It's one area I don't think they've really explored much of (if I remember correctly). I've always loved the Borg, so delving deeper into that part of the mythos could be enough to get me on board.

As an aside, that's one area I wish the Kelvinverse movies had explored. Since that alternate timeline was already messed up due to time travel shenanigans, I thought it could have been fun to see Kirk & Co take on an early version of the Borg.

This.. which would be interesting. Data designs and builds something greater than him. Maybe have some tie with the Borg due to Data's history.

I love Patrick Stewart, but I still feel he's too old for this. On the other hand, the story actually does look really interesting, so...

...I'll be passing on it, despite my desire to go on one more adventure with him. He's such a great actor, but I'm not subscribing for one series. Nope.

Looking forward to Star Trek: The Next Geriatric. Might subscribe. Better than the "let's make every captain a black woman" soap opera Trek. Which is extremely racist, I mean where is my Gorn captain? Ferengi captain? Surely every race and species has the capacity for good and ability to rise through the ranks of Starfleet? Isn't that what Star Trek teaches us?
