Watched The Ritual on Netflix this weekend and thought it was good. It's your typical premise where four friends get lost in the woods and face increasingly creepy shit. The main characters' background story was handled well and I loved the monster design. Good gore, although not as excessive as maybe it needed to be at times. Think a step above the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's that in the woods with a big monster. I recommend it.

I just didn't think A Quiet Place was very scary, and the ending was really pretty bad actually. It has an interesting hook to it (silence), and some decent acting, but I will most likely never, ever view it again and I have no desire to do so.

I liked The Ritual. It was a pretty solid horror movie without a lot of the typical horror movie annoyances that you get in most theatrical releases.

I loved A Quiet Place and could see myself watching it again on DVD. The story wasn't that scary, but the pacing, characters, setting was something I really enjoyed.

Supertroopers 2 is a movie I would have paid money to see like 10 years ago. Thought about going but I know I am gonna see AIW next weekend. And
It was actually nice out for once here weather wise in the north east. So I spent a bunch of time outside instead.

I watched "The Greatest Showman"

Was much much better than I expected. Granted I didn't expect much but I was surprisingly entertained.

I was bored with A Quiet Place. I walked out after a little more than an hour in... I just felt like it's a "sit at home and watch" kind of movie. I didn't feel like sitting in a theater for such a slow, dull movie.

Also, I hated the characters in this movie... they're so dumb. Why would they allow the (second) youngest to walk behind everyone. Wouldn't they want him to be in the middle, between parents so they can keep an eye on him; we all know kids are dumb, in that their underdeveloped brains don't truly comprehend anything. And then they decide to get knocked up with another child, while there are aliens that hunt you based on noise? Really? I hope they all die at the end. All idiots. So yea, that's pretty much how I felt about it.
