Galaxy Quest was great.

This looks like it will suck about a mile of cocks.

Live Action and Seth MacFarlane = Pass. I really can't stand Seth MacFarlane as a person.

Even if it turns out to be good, this is on Fox. They are going to cancel this so fucking quickly.

It made me really, REALLY, want a new Star Trek/Babylon 5 show. Either way I'll watch it.

I think it could be amusing, except for the fact that with Favreau and McFarlane you damn well know that their humor is going to be the same kind of ideologically driven shitburgers Hollywood is so 'brave' about. Could have its moments. Also will probably be poisoned by those two and their elitist disdain for half the country.

Definitely looks all over the place humor wise. I don't think it has much of chance anywhere , let alone Fox. I'll catch an episode or two though.

Is it too late to switch him out with Tim Allen? I would watch a Galaxy Quest show religiously.

Have you seen MacFarlane's live-action stuff? It's all toilet humor, through and through.

Good point. Just Ted, which was his I believe and was terrible. I am, however, familiar with his political/ideological positions, and I also am very familiar with Favreau, who is a partisan through and through.

Still, toilet humor has its place. We'll see!

I loved Ted, because it wasn't trying to be anything more than it was. A Million Ways to Die in the West was more of the same toilet humor, coupled with ridiculous violence.

I think his live action stuff is great...but, I know full well what I'm getting myself into, as well. I expect ridiculous toilet humor and have not been disappointed.

I actually think the scenes with Seth McFarland himself seem decent, it seems like everyone else on the cast is complet and total D-List TV character actors, I'm talking about people below the Hollywood D-List down to just the people even TV doesn't want.

Even a funny show can't go anywhere with that kind of a cast, one that doesn't seem to take any chances in story or humor is totally going nowhere.

What they need to do is have McFarlane help write a larger budget Red Dwarf with the original cast. That might go somewhere. Or as someone else suggested, a Galaxy Quest TV series with Tim Allen. Again, I think McFarlane comes up with some good jokes now and then (though Family Guy seems to have fallen into a pit of pointless cut-always and even those aren't funny any more) and I think he could help a series get off the ground, this just isn't it.

For the record, I liked A Million Ways to Die in the West, but in that case everyone else was decent B-List actors and he was the D-Lister who dragged them all down.

You know what really ruins it, the inclusion of a typical cunt ex wife. Is that role entertaining for anyone? She alone is the anchor that drags down an otherwise meh looking comedy destined for an early cancellation. A bottomless hole of unfunny. I use the word hole literally. Because her only reason for being there is to give Seth "the business" and occassionally fuck.

A Million Ways to Die in the West actually had funny trailers though.

I am willing to give a chance just because it reminds me of Galaxy Quest.... But as someone else said this is FOX. They will just cancel in 6 episode if does not meet some ass-backwards ratings expectation......

Can't be as bad a Powerless?
