LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Announced

Warner Bros. has announced the next entry in their LEGO game series: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.

Quote:
The game is said to 'complement' the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes toy range, which combines characters and vehicles from the rich Marvel universe. So far they have released eight sets, featuring Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the X-Men.
The game will have an original storyline with Nick Fury enlisting the help of Iron man, the Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine and other heroes from across the Marvel Universe – you guessed it – to save Earth from Loki and Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds.

I played the heck out of the Star Wars and Batman LEGO games, they never got old. The 8-year old comic nerd in me will definitely be getting this.

No wonder I haven't seen the Avengers yet. Last Marvel movie I had the desire to go see was Iron Man 1.

This ought to sell quite well. They just need to use the skylanders portal to spawn the heroes in the game to make real money

heh Their lineup might not be as cool as Lego Batman 2, but I'm still looking forward to grabbing this. Cleared through Lego:LotR a week or two back, aside from the obvious use of movie sound clips, I wasn't disappointed.

My girlfriend got me Lega Lord Of the Rings for chrismtas because she's a huge LOTR fan, and she knows I like videogames.

We've played it in two sessions and I can't help but find myself bored to the point of literally falling asleep.

The graphics are good, the animations are humorous, the production is top notch. It's just boring. Nothing means anything, dying is without any real penalty, combat is button mashing and doesn't even require you to pay attention, and the activities tehy ask you to do are tedious. I just don't understand what's supposed to be fun about the game ohter than "hey! it's lego!"

But does that charm last for, like, 20 games or however many they've made?

Anyone else think it is weird that Warner Brothers, who owns DC Comics, is making a game based on Marvel properties?

I get what your saying - Marvel and DC are "rivals," but Warner doesn't own Star Wars, Pirates of the Carribean, or Indiana Jones either.

heh Kinda funny that Marvel, Star Wars, PotC and Indiana Jones are all Disney properties now, but Traveller's Tales is owned by WB. Bet they'd love to have these titles under the Disney Interactive brand.
