Amazon's Labor Day Game Sale

While the Steam Summer sale is long gone, Amazon has some decent game deals this weekend.

Darksiders, Warhammer 40k, Mass Effect 3, Deus Ex, and a great many more games, if you haven't purchased them already. Most of the big name games come with online codes for Steam downloads.

Just FYI...

I cannae do it Cap'n! My wallet just doesn't have the power!

But seriously, after the Steam sale, preordering GW2 and MWO, and then my boss convincing me to come back to EVE for a bit, I just can't manage.

Although, Mass Effect 3 for $16...

Still not worth it unless it's GoTY with all of the $DLC.

Is Dead Space 1 worth the $5? I know it's more of a horror-shooter, and I'm not a fan of shit jumping out at me but I've heard a lot of good things about the franchise.

I'm also eyeballing Saints Row 3 for $12.99, I would prefer it around $5-10 so I may hold off until the next Steam sale.

Other than those two not much else on the list caught my eye, at least at the prices they were. Bioshock 1 for $10 seems like a decent deal but I've played it already (good game).

Dead Space 1 is a very good game. It's well worth getting at that price.

Dead Space 1 is fantastic--my jaw hit the floor at that price.

Sometimes I just don't understand bundle-logic. Spec Ops is $25, but Spec Ops plus Bioshock 1 & 2 is only $20?

Kingdoms of Amalur for $16 was too good for me to pass up.

Addendum: Curses, the Amalur code isn't redeemable on Steam. Oh well, guess it's the Amazon downloader for me...

If you are going for Dead Space and don't have either one, it's a better deal to get the Dead Space Bundle, with Dead Space 1 & 2 for $8.

Most of the prices are higher than Steam sale prices. There are a few gems in there, though, you have to look and compare. For example, there is Darkness II which is the weekend deal on Steam for $12.49. Amazon has it for $9.99. Oh Steam...

It's kinda sad that I lobbied for a modern Syndicate game for literally years and can't even convince myself to spend $10 on the POS that actually was produced :\

We tried to warn you, but we'll still forgive you. That's what EvAv is all about.

Addendum to the addendum: Kingdoms of Alamur is not only non-redeemable on Steam, the Amazon installer requires Origin. Just for the game to run. Avoid at all costs, especially if that cost is $15.99.

The Spec Ops/Bioshock bundle is relatively cheap, and the Spec Ops code does unlock the Steam version of the game. Huzzah.

In completely unrelated news, does anyone want an activation code for BioShock 1 or 2?

If you still have the one for 2, I could use it.

Scarygirl[$5] and Split/Second[$4] are good choices at those prices.
