Counting the days for this.

Great video, though. It explains some of the misconceptions and questions that a lot of people have been mentioning.

This game is about ten years too late. Enjoy your plastic DLC.

Oh. I got Kart, Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros, and now Super Mario Maker DLC for the one plastic Link figure I bought for $10? Fucking bargain compared to all other DLC.

I got an idea, just plug your NES in, and blow in the Super Mario Bros. cart and hit power. Same damn thing and you won't be out 60 bucks.

Really? Can I do that for RPG Maker as well? Just blow in the original Final Fantasy NES cart and save?

How about Trackmania? Can I put in Pole Position and save?

(Just incase you didn't know, Spectral, Mario Maker includes the New Super Mario Bros U engine and three others. Not just the original Mario Bros theme/physics.)

This is a 1986 game now with user altered levels, using art assets from a 1986 game. It's 2015. How anyone can be excited for this tripe is beyond me.

You're now criticizing a game..you just proved to know nothing about.

The game ALSO has the art/assets of the New Super Mario Bros U engine, which is only a few years old. And Super Mario Bros 3. Along with Super Mario World. No one told you? It's not just the original Super Mario Bros art/physics.

I wonder if the amiibos are also in 3D form in this game rather than just the retro versions.

They aren't. Unfortunately. But...the game supports every Amiibo. They made 8bit art and sounds for over 50 different characters. Maybe we'll see that down the road in an update.

I stand corrected, still I didn't know because I wouldn't touch this with a 10 ft pole. Just like I wouldn't touch little big planet with a 10 ft pole. Games with no point besides shitty user made levels are flat out a waste of time.

LBP/LBP2 and Rock Band 2/3 turned out to be the most redeeming factors for my buying into the PS3, after the somewhat disappointing GT5 I bought the console for to begin with. LBP3 is the only thing Sony's released that's made me even consider buying a PS4. To each his own I guess. They had some amazing user created content though; there's really no arguing against that.

I've got this game pre-ordered (was sold by some of the videos that hit this month), but I'm a little bummed about no multiplayer. Was kinda hoping for the classic turn-based two player. Guess we can pass off the controller on deaths, but it's not the same. LBP's 4 player co-op was so great for groups, and the last few Mario games have offered the same. Heard some mention of live-editing on gamepad while another player test runs on controller, which could be cool, but haven't seen it in the vids.

At least I don't have to worry about the same $DLC temptation I got from LBP--bought so many of those costumes, and that's really not something I tend to do. All the amiibo costumes can be unlocked via gameplay, so the amiibo unlocks I have access to off the bat are just a bonus.
