For me, there are only two kinds of people that go around denying the existence of climate change.
1. The ones that profit from the fossil fuel industry and keep fueling ( ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡) ) voices to deny all the evidence. Even the evidence that they themselves have gathered.
2. Those that believe the lies spread that those in 1.

Because at the end of the day, what could possibily go wrong from implementing the necessary changes to go fossil fuel free, clean air and water? Who the fuck is against that? Those in 1. that's who.

Yes really. All the little predictions of the climate doom group have proven to be false, 0 for 42 and counting. Keep on trying there douchenozzle.

The collapse of our economic system, mass poverty, and starvation?

I'm not denying that the earth is getting hotter. I'm just not convinced that's necessarily a bad thing. It's certainly preferable to the earth cooling.

Reality for 2017, same holds true w/US leading the world in 2018 and 2019.

If you truly believe that climate change has species-ending potential, what's your timetable for our war with China and India to end their activities leading to the extermination of our species? Got that planned out yet? They're not listening to you...

You can't be taken seriously if you aren't ready to fight for life on the planet with the seriousness with which you say it must be addressed. So until you've got a plan to go to war with India and China to end their global destruction, you can go fuck off.

lol@climatecultists.

These heat waves are starting to happen now. You aren't thinking this through. The animals outside won't be able to survive sustained heat waves in the future, nor will some of the crops that we depend on. Yes we can shift our farm land geographically, but that isn't easy and will spike the price of food.

Realistically we are going to face a migration crisis on a level unseen in modern human history.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wet-bulb_temperature

*In 2003, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, saw the highest heat index ever recorded at 81 C (178 F) with a temperature of 42 C (108 F) and a 35 C (95 F) dew point.[15]

*A heat wave in August 2015 saw temperatures of 48.6 C (119.5 F) and a dew point of 29.5 C (85.1 F) at Samawah, Iraq, and 114.8 F (46.0 C) with a dew point of 89.6 F (32.0 C) in Bandar-e Mahshahr, Iran.[17] This implied wet-bulb temperatures of about 33.5 C (92.3 F) and 34.7 C (94.5 F) respectively.[18] The government urged residents to stay out of the sun and drink plenty of water.

Now put up a per capita graph. Current usage per capita would be great too for a sensible comparison and not this ridiculous propaganda you are pushing.

It's ridiculous to point out the fact that China and India pollute more than practically all other countries combined? Why is that? As for your comment about migrant crisis, seen Sweden lately? I think my new name for you is chicken little.

Per capita doesn't matter when we're talking the end of humanity.

Do you drive a car? How many? Any gas involved at all?
Do you fly? At all? Once a year or more?
Do you go on vacation further from home than your local parks and recreation zones?
Do you order products to be delivered?

Fuck off, lying hypocrite who gives not a shit about the climate.

It matters when you start telling people who have no electricity, refrigeration or vehicles that they are generating too much CO2, while apparently the people in the US are doing fine with their CO2 usage with their 24/7 climate control, multiple personal vehicles and basically unlimited electricity usage.

That is absurd, and at least somewhat reasonable compromises need to be made on global usage per person, not per governing block regardless of the underlying population that each country represents.

I'm sure you will respond with some kind of absolutist drivel, when in reality reasonable middle grounds have to be found.

Per capita amounts of carbon do NOT matter when the issue, according to AGW cultists, is the total amount of carbon being emitted and their demand that we go to zero carbon emissions, moron, or lose all life on Earth. lulz. Are you ready to go to war with India and China to enforce zero emissions? No? Then you're not serious on climate change.

Speaking of 'serious' on climate change:
Do you drive a car? How many? Any gas involved at all?
Do you fly? At all? Once a year or more?
Do you go on vacation further from home than your local parks and recreation zones?
Do you order products to be delivered?

Fuck off, lying hypocrite who gives not a shit about the climate.

They are all politicians.

I don't know what makes you think Trump worked for his money. It seems like he inherited it, and also won't release his tax returns to show his actual financial status.

Romney actually did work for his money. He was the CEO of Bain Capital. He got a JD-MBA from Harvard. Only after that did he go into politics. He definitely did work for and earn his money.

Of course per capita matters. What you are saying makes no sense. There needs to be sensible policy and it doesn't realistically involve everyone switching to using zero carbon immediately. All that would do is precipitate an immediate crisis instead of a future crisis. We need to work to pull back average per capita carbon usage while balancing economic concerns in a rational way.

If we just do nothing the economic costs will be very high down the road, much higher than if we engage in interventions now to transition our economy.

This isn't some crazy all or nothing policy where no one can use air planes or cars anymore. That is ridiculous. What makes sense are aggressive MPG policies towards future vehicles and moving over to renewables and other energy sources that don't emit high levels of CO2. LNG for peaker plants with renewables and possibly nuclear filling in the rest makes sense. Moving towards an infrastructure of electric vehicles is also sensible.

Doing nothing is short sighted and will cost far more down the road and create serious political problems and probably wars in the future. We shouldn't bury our heads in the sand and pretend this isn't coming. We should prepare ourselves for the future.

Bzzzt, wrong dipshit. The TOTAL amount of carbon is the issue. The US could zero out our emissions and it would make literally, objectively, empirically no difference because of India and China.

You would know that if you had a fucking clue.

That is the progressives' Green New Deal.

Get out of here with your tragedy of the commons bullshit. We easily have it within our power to reign in the carbon emissions of our trade partners. This is a bigger problem for poor countries than it is for us. They aren't the ones pretending there isn't a problem.
