At the low, low price of $19.99 per 3-mission pack, how could you not pre-order as soon as it's available?!

That would kinda be out of character for the company that charges $4.99 for one Heroes of the Storm skin.

Did Nova just raid the Batman and Robin set and steal a mask?

It has a robot and Nova can cloak!

@Evil, all their SCII content has been free so far. Not saying this will be, but it's possible. Need more info.

Won't be free I don't think. Have to keep in mind Vivendi is no longer in the picture, Activision are Blizzard's overlords now.

Vivendi were never super good or anything either. I'd say their stake in Blizzard was what started their spiral into the company they are today.

Well really it was a package deal, Davidson & Associates were the original owners, who were purchased along with Sierra in 1996 by CUC International who renamed themselves Cedent, two years after they acquired Blizzard, it wasn't until a cooking the books scandal forced Cendent to sell that Vivendi ended up with them under the Havas SA name. So really Blizzard was owned by Vivendi technically from 1998 on and pretty much let Blizzard do what they wanted up until the Activision merger. I don't believe that Vivendi ever managed the Sierra brand or it's IP particularly well since all they really did with it was repackage old Quest series in collection form and not much else (King's Quest etc)

There's a gem of a little story that plays into the whole Activision acquisition as well.

clued us in to this little story: back in 1995, Kotick was eating lunch with some folks from Davidson & Associates, and they told him that they had just bought up-and-coming software developer Blizzard Entertainment for the tidy sum of seven million dollars -- a number that a baffled Kotick believed to be ridiculous. At the time, Blizzard's claim to fame was Warcraft: Orcs vs. Humans, and ... that's pretty much it, save for a few one-off games like Blackthorne and The Lost Vikings. Kotick called them nothing more than a "contract developer" and remarked that they weren't worth seven million bucks.

Of course, later that year, Blizzard released Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, which catapulted them into gaming history forever. Thirteen years later, in 2008, Kotick (and Activision) paid seven billion dollars to acquire Blizzard. For those not into mathematics, that's one thousand times more than what Davidson & Associates paid.

Well, he was right about one thing. They definitely weren't worth seven million bucks. He just didn't know how right he was at the time.
