Batman Reboot Details - AMC Movie News

"The "Batman" reboot might not happen until 2017, after "Justice League" is released in 2015"

2017 seems like an adequate amount of time. Anything sooner would be Too Soon.

I have my doubts on them actually doing a decent Justice League movie though.

The hardest part is trying to top what has been done in the last trilogy.

And honestly, with all these "reboots", I am getting tired of the beginning stories. Can we just continue something or move on past diving back into where it all started.

I know why they do it, (and if you dont, its because of the money). But come on, its tiring to keep seeing the same story over and over and over. Lets get to villians like Red Hood, Black Skull, and other allies like Nightwing.

Amen! I've had enough of the origin stories as well.

It's going to be hard to top the Nolan films. I can see a Justice League film, but the story of Batman has been told very well. At this point, I think the only fresh take would be to look at how/why Batman takes on a child Robin. They could do a set of films that has a new robin in each. First movie is about the bond with Dick Grayson, the second one introduces Tim and has him killed by joker as well as having a love interest with Talya to set up the final film with Dameon. (Hope I spelled their names right, haven't read these books in a while).

At the same time, I don't really find that interesting.

Nolan films were an alt universe take, think only Scarecrow was a solid version of his DCU counterpart. There's some overlapping themes and a couple major origin plot points in common, but a 'truer' DCU Batman is going to be a very different Batman. They don't really have to top it, just sort of make it equally coherent. Hopefully they can at least keep it as serious as Nolan did. Really don't want to see a 90's Batman redux.

It's more or less confirmed that the reboot version of Batman will be debuting in Justice League, right? We'll get to see how they set him up in that. I'm hoping the reboot won't be another origin story too, but not sure how they'll set his reboot history unless it's shown in Justice League. They could easily touch on the origins for each member in that and be done with it.

Jason Todd is Robin #2 and gets killed by Joker, he's the one who gets resurrected and becomes Red Hood. Would love to see Red Hood show up in a live action film.

Tim Drake is the third Robin, becomes the awesome Red Robin. Think he only died in that Batman Beyond movie. Not sure why anyone would want to kill him though, he's the best Robin in my book. Shame new-52 has made him near worthless.

Damian would be cool to have as a film Robin too, but think I'd be worried too much about him just becoming a mascot character. They could have the reboot film be about Bruce finding about his son and taking him back from the League of Assassins. Introducing the audience to that info might take more than one film though, as you suggested. Not sure they could hint enough in just Justice League. Would be neat if they pulled it off.

heh Been watching Batman: Under the Red Hood? Wish they'd release more animations that solid. Definitely stands out among all the recent DC animated films.

Year One and The Dark Knight Returns are of equitable quLity in my opinion. Year One is DAMN good.

Ugly pen + ugly cuff links + cheap, child-looking watch = $5000?

I'd rather have a Casio and a pocket full of cash.
