I miss the days when announcements like this didn't just fuel my cynicism.

Don't forget using Frostbite, and with the Bioware problems it has I don't expect anything more than a mediocre cash grab.

I was about to say, "Doesn't Division 2 use that engine" but then I remembered it's "Snowdrop". Really close...are they running out of names?

I'm going to go into this one with cautious optimism, entirely because I just want a good new Star Wars game to play. I know it's an EA game, but they seem to be on the ropes in regards to this particular license; it has been a very rough five years for them, to say the least.

I'm hoping this one turns out good, but my expectations will remain low for the time being.

If this is a kind of modern Jedi knight academy *hahah yeah right*

I'll die happy and buy day one... unless session pass and 200$ game versions, then I'll pass and let others brave the mistake before making my choice to fuel Lucifer and his minions

Wow, a Star Wars action adventure game. Who would have thought?

Imagine if they had started on this sooner, they might have dedicated a whole studio to something. Maybe they could have hired a kick ass writer, like the lady who worked on Uncharted.

Nahhhhh.

Fuck, i was set to totally ignore any new Star Wars stuff. But I really like Respawn's work. I really enjoyed both Titanfall's and Apex Legends. Not sure how they would do with a action adventure as opposed to a shooter. So I'll have a bit of cautious optimism. Guess it depends on how involved EA gets with them now that Apex has blown up. But there is this to consider. Vince Zampella did make a brief announcement about it at E3 last year. There's a video clip with a pretty clueless interviewer out there. And consider the first minute or so of this review highlighting his relationship with EA:

I wonder if it will be an online only game as a service!

It's a single-player only game with no microtransactions whatsoever. So, no, I don't think it'll be an online-only game as a service.
