#1, but maybe it's just me but that's an abysmal start. But considering how poorly the first one did, and how much of a miracle it was a sequel even got made I'm not surprised.

I really, really enjoyed Pacific Rim 1. Number 2? Umm, nowhere near as good (IMO). It lacked scares and the overall feel was nowhere near the first film. Plus the combat wasn't as good. Or the monsters. Etc.

That's really a shame, judging from the trailers the whole feel was more Power Rangers and less Pacific Rim 1 and I was hoping the actual movie was nothing like that. Oh well, probably will still buy the blu-ray.

Wasn't all that impressed with PR2. The first third or more of the movie was really a big bore. Eastwood was better than I've seen him before, but he has a lot of work to do to get competent as an actor. The action also wasn't as engaging.

Save your money. See it at home with a beer and distractions.

I went and watched Tomb Raider. Was actually a pretty good movie though I felt the last run and rescue was way over done. It was one of the better video game movies I've seen done and not a bad adventure movie. Started out quite slow for me but I guess they had to do the "origin story" and establish the character for folks not familiar with the game.

I gave it a B-. If some of the more cinematic moments weren't done in dark shots I'd say it would be worth going to in the theater but I don't think it is necessary to see it on anything bigger than a large in home TV.

Watched Pacific Rim, decent follow on from the 1st. Never quite reached its potential though.

Oh shit, that's why he looked so familiar to me, he's Clint Eastwood's son. But yea, the movie was kind of a snooze. I wouldn't have bothered seeing it if I didn't have Movie Pass.
