METAL JESUS ROCKS!: Stylish Control (That Isn't About MJ's Hair)

Probably the most under-appreciated feature of the original-release Xbox 360 (aside from it doubling as a white noise generator) was the ability to swap face-plates on the console, giving gamers the option of personalizing their systems. All in all, it seemed like a nice little perk for Microsoft's second-gen console. Unfortunately, that bullet point got lost amidst the hysteria of red-rings and an 80% failure rate and--as a result--later versions of the 360 abandoned the face-plate feature.

But at least they kept a little bit of that spirit alive in the form of custom skinned, limited release artwork gamepads. Yes, I can't remember another system that had more special edition controllers released than the 360. That being the case, some collectors--such as MJR! recurring guest Kinsey--have gotten the jump on grabbing as many of the artsy input devices as they can while the getting is good.

Get ready to see with your hands, as Kinsey and MJ roll out the big guns with this in-depth look at some of the coolest controllers for the MS consoles:

Great stuff. I'd also like to see someone cover the less conventional controllers of last gen, like maybe the Ace Combat Flight Stick or the Mad Catz Arcade Gamestick.

Jeesh, MJ. If you are going to show off your controllers, can you clean the boogers off first? What's another hour of cleaning hoove when you have to spend countless hours editing the vid anyway?

j/k, sorry for being an ass (that was prob. Kinsey's anyway)! Good video! I am waiting for the controllers to drop in price so that I can get some spares for PC (Xbox 360 AND PS3).

I am enjoying the fact that everybody's first impression of a video like this is "WTF!? Who cares?!"... but then they go on to really enjoy it. Who knew there was so much variety in Xbox 360 controllers!

I love the 360 pad, now I just keep buying rechargeable batteries as I never want to run out.

I liked the last regular black xbox 360 controller. Not the chrome one though. Everything else was meh. Madcatz is shit.

MY Marvel vs Capcom TWO (not 3, Has a Hulk vs Wolvie skin ) mad catz arcade stick is sitting in its box getting dusty. Sadly U MvC3 is still more fun than the latest mortal combat, dead or alive 5, Sf4 any edition, or any other fighting games out .

That mad catz fighter controller did have triggers, they moved them to the top and made them buttons instead. I use my wireless Xbox controller exclusively on the PC because... well... I don't have an Xbox.
