Metal Jesus GAME ROOM TOUR - 5000 Games!

BRAND NEW for 2015 Game Room Tour from Metal Jesus which has 5,000 Games and over 45 consoles, computers & handhelds. Over 4 decades of video games are organized, connected and ready to play!

If you have questions about how this is all configured and setup, let me know! Also...my PS4 and games are upstairs in the living room. My Steam computer is a 27" iMac in the office which is where I do all my video editing.

The awesomeness of your collection is awesome! Everything is so well organised and you keep it all very clean.

I have wanted to get a RetroN 5 to play GBA games for a while now. Is this the one to get?

Yes that is it. They have two colors but they are exactly the same.

A couple things:

Hyperkin continues to release firmware updates to fix little nitpicky things, which is great. So if you read this game or that game doesn't work, make sure it's a recent review.

The wireless controller works ok...but serious gamers will want to use the original controllers. If you find yourself not liking the controller that comes with the system, spend the $5 or $10 and get a real SNES or Genesis or NES controller and you are set!

Sounds good. I still have a couple of SNES controllers floating around the attic at my parent's house.

P. S. The closest behind my desk makes your storage room look good. (I need to sort it out.) I want to make a custom resin desktop with my old video cards and CPUs.

Hey Metal Jesus. Great tour, I have a quick question.

Will the Japanese boot disc for the Gameboy player work on a US Gamecube?
What do you use?

I have a purple and silver Japanese Gameboy players without discs on my matching consoles. I have a US black Gameboy player on my black system with a US boot disc. I use it on all the systems but I'd love to have a couple extra discs and the japanese ones seem easier to find.

Thanks in advance.

I love these kind of videos. Nice collection man! Hopefully you have some good house insurance just in case. All you need is a good gaming PC... For me this serves as a reminder to build the damn arcade cabinet I've been putting off for years.

Strange question but: How are you insured?

There is a lot of money tied up in such a collection, and I am wondering how you are covered and how expensive it is for you to be insured?

In Denmark, where I'm from, such a collection would be very expensive to replicate - and thus really expensive to pay for insurance for annually. :-D

On topic: That is one awesome collection! Lots of envy here, since I only have a few AMIGAs and my PC. :-)

Very nice collection Metal. Very impressed.
I was too young at the time and late to the collecting party perse. But have a few tidbits.
Atari 2600, C64, Sega Mega Drive, Amiga 500.
Couple handhelds, :- Original 80's Yellow PacMan and Caveman.
Collecting has me turned to digital games last few years, Which steam and Gog has my attention.

My game collection is rolled into my home insurance, as well as my music collection. Honestly, my single most valuable thing in the house is my is my 1981 Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar. And, I also have a security camera on the doors, just in case

I said that off the cuff, because in my mind I'm not really hardcore...cuz I'm all over the place in my collection. A little of everything.

I am surrounded by game collectors in the Seattle area that have complete boxed collections that are twice as big as mine... and they are way more anal about the details. I just wanna crack open a beer and play games

Metal Jesus: Purveyor of soft core gaming pron.*

Hope your trip goes well. Too bad you can't pack that entire collection in the RV and take it on the road with you (you're not doing that, are you?)!**

* Intentional misspelling!

** Well, emulators could do that for a bunch of it, but not all...

I have the US disc for the Gameplay Player and it works fine on the Japanese attachment. However, I don't know if it will work the other way...sorry.

Nostalgia overdose!

I remember so many of those old Intellivision and Atari 2600 games growing up. Good times. Once you passed over the Super Nintendo games I saw two of my all time favorites in there: Zelda: A link to the Past and Final Fantasy III. It was worth owning the system for those two games only.

Yeah. I too have the US disc. I wish I bought them when Nintendo used to sell replacements for $12. I assume the NTSC-J disc is region locked and will only work on NTSC-J consoles but I'd like to know for sure can't seem to get an answer anywhere.

I have some bad news for you. That's not an "original" Atari 2600. The original 2600 has 6 switches, not 4. The 4 switch models were the later models.

Also, Ghost BC, are you a satinist? J/k, I like Ghost BC myself, but I find the lyrics hard to listen to due to that.
