Except that in this case, the lead designer admitted that it WAS. At least that's what the One Angry Gamer article said.

And I never finished the DLC which is why it was such a shock to me. Then I read about Druckmann's admitted AGENDA against all non elite progressive thinkers and I was infuriated. Hopefully they sink themselves with this rubbish. I wasn't just turned off by the in your face forced lesbianism but also by the gross over the top violence.

Looking back, Uncharted 1 to 3 were the only really good games Naughty Dog ever put out. The only thing I ever really liked about the Last of Us besides the environments was the infected design and behavior, but they had to ruin that too by focusing WAY too much on "evil people". Thank goodness Sony still has Sucker Punch and Insomniac on their side because Naughty Dog is toast without Amy and with this rabid torture porn loving SJW leading it and forcing his political opinions into his games. Wish Sony had stepped in and said knock it off. But oh no, they have to be "hands off". Well let's see where that gets them, will be an interesting train wreck to watch.

Also, I am not irrational or misogynist. I love the new Tomb Raider games and I think it's great that the new AC lets you choose gender.

I do have to agree that Naughty Dog lost a step along the way somewhere. I'm sure part of it is just perspective but I felt like they were a titan in the industry back in the day but they seem like they're more interested in making movies with game trappings these days. I know everyone loved Last of Us but after Uncharted (which I did enjoy) I just sort of lost interest in them as a company. It's almost like they take themselves a little too seriously these days. Again, that might just be me. I just kind of miss the days when they were making games like Crash, Jak and Daxter, or even Way of the Warrior.

Fair enough on the violence, but what would UNFORCED lesbianism actually look like?

This comment is hilarious insomuch as it's totally true and yet Nintendo still managed to bungle it.

This was a really weird E3. Massive props to MS for owning it by virtue of not phoning it in.

If I wasn't VR only these days anyhow, I'd be very disappointed with what everyone showed.

I think I would be considered on your side ideologically if your main point is, "anytime homosexuality is brought up in media AT ALL, idiots claim it's "forced"", but in this case, I think it actually IS very forced. The entire framing device of the short film (I sincerely doubt this is in the game) is based around the kiss. We've never seen anything like that before in gaming and I think I can say with relative certainty that if it was a male-female kiss, not only would we not have ever seen a trailer like this, but we would see "think pieces" criticizing it's blatant display of heterosexuality.

When the personally, I found the trailer awkward and uncomfortable for tons of reasons outside of just the homosexuality. I found the violence and sadism to be off-putting as well as the kissing. That's not at all what I come to videogames for. But that's why I don't buy Naughty Dog games. If it's any good, I'll watch it on Youtube like I did the first one. But I'm not going to bu yet or "play" it.

Well I'm glad I'm not alone!

What does unforced look like? Simple. Unforced is when it doesn't become the entire focus of your set piece and set up. Unforced is when we know for a fact that the game designer was not trying to champion his own political agenda and shove it down everyone's throat for feelings of moral superiority. In this case, we know from previous Druckmann statements that is very intentional and meant to antagonize (look it up). What kind of fool seeks to lessen his target audience to prove a political statement, and why did Sony agree to this? Last I checked they were a for profit business.

Here's an unforced example: Certain females in other Mass Effect games only being romanceable by other females. I had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM WITH THAT. It provided choice and equality there for the taking, not shoved in your face by someone with a hateful, yes HATEFUL, political agenda. Druckmann is all down with the "f*ck Trump" movement and all that. Classic liberal "if you don't agree with me you are scum and I hate you and I hope you die and I hope you don't play my games/music/etc." mentality.

I also would have felt uncomfortable and thought it stupid if she has kissed a man in that shot. Just as forced and nonsensical. Does it want to be a damn soap opera or torture porn/snuff film? Druckmann is just SICK.

The whole point of video games is escapism and CHOICE. I can't escape identity politics in LoU2. I understand if playing as Ellie is central to the story, but why then can't I just CHOOSE who I romance or kiss in a cutscene? No, I cannot, because the stupid designer has an AGENDA. So I am boycotting Naughty Dog as long as this guy's leading it.

I would wonder if the homosexuality angle is more than just an SJW in our faces type thing. I'm wondering if it's part of the main plot. It seems like Ellie's girlfriend gets killed at some point. Here's a protagonist who is immune to the disease. Her offspring could guarantee the survival of the human race. And she is a lesbian... That would make people angry in that kind of environment and wanting to take steps to prevent it.

Could the underlying message be that it is it's better to honor someones apocalyptic lifestyle than to ensure the survival of the species? Which side is the player on?

Games with stories like that are becoming scarce because it's too PC to allow players to make those kinds of choices.

How scared of reality are you? Everything he said in that post is accurate. I tend to separate the creators from their creation as much as possible, but when you know what they have said and stand for, certain things in games can stand out more than they would otherwise. It's just reality, no one is scared of vaginas.

Sony's conference sucked hard. I was seriously annoyed while watching it; I don't watch E3 conferences for banjo's or dudes playing skin flutes for 5 minutes. What a bunch of pretentious crap. I liked the Sucker Punch game and RE2. Everything else was meh to maybe. The Spider-man game still hasn't sold me.

I think we might have similar tastes. I thought the same thing about the games. Although, while the Spider-Man movie they showed during e3 looked bad, the after-show had a lot of footage of the actual gameplay and it sold me on the game much more than I had been previously.

The combat looks boring and tedious, but the open world stuff looks fun.

Knowing me, I'm sure I'll buy it, and Last of Us 2 at some point. I like to have my own opinion on games before I count them out, money be damned. I really liked TLOU back when, so I hope the new one is good too.

I saw the trailer for Last of Us 2 and was blown away. The lesbian kiss was a little odd, but shit man, that game looks amazing.

Naughty Dog has proven time and time again that they have the goods.
