The multiplayer is surprisingly very fun. The demo was good fun too, even with the various voice commands with Kinect. It was a nifty perk to just be able to tell your teammate the ability you wish them to use on which target.

But back to multiplayer. Interesting how you gain XP towards your character and credits towards the shop. You buy either a standard pack or a veteran pack. I'm not sure if both can give you extra characters (only Male/Female Humans are unlockable for the classes to start), but they give you random one-use items (or veteran will give x3) and different weapons as well as upgrades and attachments. Also different races of different classes have different abilities for them. It's a nice wide-range thing I think to give a ton of variations on what you want to do. That leads me to upgrading abilities, after the third tier, you get three sections where you can pick an either/or. Each one will have one of two options you can choose from. Sake of my Soldier character, Concussion Shot would either let me upgrade the force and power by 30% or so OR I could increase the impact range to 1.5 meters (to hit other nearby enemies close by I assume?). Overall it's been good fun, and look forward to it killing up a lot of my time after work.

I think BioWare learned their lesson with Dragon Age II.

The xbox version of the demo gives you free xbox live gold for one month I believe.

Well, they've got a somewhat proper bit of gameplay in it, but overall they've failed at making me actually care about the story.

Dragon Age 2 had recycled dungeons and was a grind fest...according to many forum ppl/reviews. Never touched DA2 because of it myself.
