For me that shows how the PC is superior now to consoles. You need an 4 years old PC to play a new game ...
Those are WAY older than a 4 year old PC.
Core 2 Duo's and 8800GTs were midrange parts in 2006, and the ATI 4000 series was in 2008.
I had both an 8800GT, a Core 2 Duo and an ATI 4870. The 4870 was such a huge improvement over the 8800GT I'm surprised that they're comparable for "requirement", i think its simply because they were both extremely popular cards at the time. That or some DirectX thing.
I was using my 4870 and still running games at 1080p mostly maxed out until this last year. (Then I finally upgraded back in march)
You could look at it another way. It runs just fine on a console that is over 6.5 years old.
Except for Blightown and a few other places yes its fine on the consoles.
It's not being improved graphically or optimised for the PC, just a some additional content
but i worry its gonna be a crap port as they are struggling with the PC version
through lack of experience.. so id be suprised if the port is good quality.
One of the best games i've played in many years on any system.
Its not as tough as people make out, you've just got to play the game
and not just run round pressing your kill button to activate some set piece.
Genuinely feels like an adventure and shows you dont need endless dialogue and
cutscenes to have a compelling game just good gameplay and design... nice having some mystery imo.
By coming out and flat out saying they are having trouble with this port suggests to me they are covering their arses for when the shit hits the fan.
I would be shocked if this wasn't one of the shittiest PC ports ever created.
I applaud their honesty and think they'll do justice by the port. It is tough to port a game to PC with the infinite variables and they get a pat on the back just for trying to bring such a demanding title over so PC people have a chance to bitch about it too.
