Jace Hall Wants to Create an Updated Version of Blood
Jace Hall, the founder and ex-CEO of Monolith, is thinking of releasing an updated and enhanced version of Blood which would be released on PC and other platforms. He posted his thoughts on the Blood fansite The Post Mortem:

To be clear, I am thinking of bringing the ORIGINAL Blood game back as it was, with functionality alterations/enhancements that are similar but superior to ZDAEMON's. I would also make it work on all platforms, and not just PC. There are other things as well...
I have a very specific vision in mind for what I'd like to do, but before I go off and do it - I wanted to speak directly with the Blood community and see what the thoughts are.
My goal of course is for this all to be free, and all about gameplay and fun. You can rest assured that I have the resources to bring BLOOD back properly but like I said, I'm hoping to have the community participate in all this if it wants to so we can all do it together. This site is great and it would be great to see the Blood community grow!
At some point I would also love someone to do an updated version of Shadow Warrior. Who am I kidding though? With the track record there, I'll be 80 years old by the time that project would be completed.

Shadow Warrior is under appreciated, I actually liked it more than Duke Nukem 3D.
The first Blood was a blast but I never could get into the second. I'd love to see the original brought up to a Painkiller tech level. Damn, that would be cool.

I'd love to see painkiller brought up to doom 3 level or beyond. That game scratched so many itches.

You will be pleased to hear about the upcoming UE3 remake of Painkiller then. The studio making it seem to be really passionate about the project, so I have high hopes for it.

Schweet. UE3 engine is still decent enough so long as they work out a solid multiplayer.

The Farm 51 has several people that worked on the original Painkiller. Necrovision was also a pretty good "run and gun" shooter, so they know what they're doing.

I would imagine 3D Realms does as well. I was told a few years back that Monolith was really sucking ass on Blood during the development and the staff at 3D Realms had to step in and save the show.
