I only liked 2 marvel movies, the avengers and ragnarok. I was okay with the new spidey.

This however. This, is all of the crap coming together. This, is freaking awesome. Consider me hyped and no longer a marvel poo poo'er. My childhood dreams when reading the comics finally a reality. Hell maybe they'll make that alien vs. predator vs. terminator movie I always wanted too!

I enjoy the MCU movies for what they are; high-quality action films that deliver precisely what they promise. The last one I was legitimately excited for was the first Avengers; it was, at the time, the culmination of an unprecedented film project. It was special.

I can honestly say I'm excited for Infinity War, for many of the same reasons as The Avengers. This time around, it's the culmination of a decade's worth of interconnected films. As unprecedented as Avengers was, this takes things to an entirely different level. Who would have thought that when we were sitting in theaters 10 years ago watching Iron Man on the big screen for the first time that it would end up withing something as absolutely massive as this?

I've long hit the point where I'm okay with catching most of the MCU movies once they hit retail shelves...but, this one is different. Avengers 3 and 4 will be the end of an era, in many ways. Sure, the show will go on...but, never quite like this ever again.

Who would have thought we'd ever see Spider-Man and Doctor Strange on the big screen, sharing scenes together?

This looks big, fun and impossibly bombastic. It'll be a good time.

Is this the most celebrities in a MCU movie to date? Well it has to be right? I wonder how much this movie cost. It's going to make black panther seem like peanuts!

This is actually why I am not that excited for it. I absolutely hated Avengers and Age of Ultron, and much preferred Winters Soldier to Civil War. There are too many cooks in the kitchen with these kind of films and it dilutes the overall quality of the story and characterization as the film has to juggle fan expectations of what each individual hero is capable of while also telling a compelling narrative.

Ultimately I will enjoy it, partially because Josh Whedon is not in control of this mashup, but I just know that I will be watching the end credits just wishing that Marvel would allow more of their movies to be stand alone and not some great big universe that has to be mashed up and remixed over the course of a decade.

I absolutely loved the part where Cap is holding back Thanos' hand and Thanos looks puzzled.

The Black Order is finally revealed. Spooky.

Confirmed that Stark/Strange/Parker are defeated badly in New York. Thanks for ruining that battle for us.

I can't wait.

Also, prediction: Peter Parker dies so they can introduce Miles Morales for Homecoming 2. Does Sony own Spider Man, or specifically Peter Parker's Spider Man? If it's the latter, then this would make sense as a way to get away from the Sony partnership.

SPOILER BABY!

(Note, that probably won't happen, but I wouldn't put it past them...)

Sony still owns the rights to the cinematic Spider-Man, so they would not want to kill off a character they just introduced in a successful reboot.

Besides, Miles is being introduced and staring in the upcoming Into the Spiderverse CGI film. So the MCU can always use Miles without killing off Peter Parker.

There's absolutely no way they'll kill off Peter Parker after everything they went through to bring him back into the fold.

Sony owns the film rights to everything Spider-Man, which is why they're able to move forward with their own Venom movie (as well as the upcoming Black Cat/Silver Sable movie) which is wholly unrelated to the MCU films.

They're not killing off Peter in this movie. If they do, it certainly won't be permanent and/or would be undone by the end of the film, especially since there's an upcoming sequel to Homecoming and it'll take place almost immediately after Avengers 4.

While Miles could certainly make an appearance down the road, it ain't going to be within the next few movies.

Is there something going on with Cap that enables him to hold back Thanos with a few of those stones in his gauntlet? I must admit, I haven't followed Cap in the comics very much, he wasn't a favorite of mine. Then again it could be the whole "hope" thing being more powerful than "ambition" trope...

I'm sorry I can't get over the idea that someone actually watches these movies for the story.

It's like meeting someone who thinks michael baye is a great story teller director and watches the transformer movies for the plot.

Captain America is finished. It's the worst kept secret ever. Chris Evans is done with the character and wants to move on. Thor also seems likely. Chris Hemsworth didn't even want to do another standalone until Ragnarok convinced him otherwise. And killing off the character would complete the whole purpose of Ragnarok, followed by the intended reset of Asgard and everyone else who was previously killed.

Miles Morales is getting the animated movie treatment for his reveal. Word is Venom, voiced by Tom Hardy, has an appearance. Both look awful.

Age of Ultron and Civil War were cheap Syfy Channel grade garbage. Infinity War looks like it can either make up for that in a big way or feel like a big long mess.

To me Spidey seemed like a 10 part TV show.

There's never a 'real' threat with these films and only Winter Soldier, so far, has given me that feeling of 'seriousness'. Ragnarok was FAR TOO light hearted when compared to the other Thor films. His FAMILY AND FRIENDS were being killed while he was making jokes.

Other than that I've liked all of them but only a couple have been above that 'like' feeling.

They should kill most of them off. They're at the end of their run anyway, and it would lend gravitas to the film to see major characters bite it.

This will be fun even if it is a hot mess. Ensemble films are hard to pull off, and this one has so many characters the math says a few minutes on screen for each, lol...

The billion dollar movie franchise with stories based off comic stories that were beloved, had millions of readers and featured characters that have been around for nearly 100 years doesnít have a story thatís good enough for you?

Sit down.

I don't think they invested money into this franchise across a dozen+ movies just to kill off the characters. That being said one or two wouldnt be a surprise and I wouldnt expect it to be permanant either.
